Wow this is my first July post and it's mid July!!!!

I am very sorry about this, just been way busy around here and at work that coupons have been taking a bit of a back seat (*spitting*) I know I know that is an awful thing to say...I will never say it again. But in these last 3 or 4 years since my last post I have obtained quite a few good deals that I wish to share with you.....whether you like it or not ;)

I was shopping for sunglasses the other day and stumbled upon a pair of brand new Liz Claiborn sunglasses at the Liquidation center in Amherst. They were originally $54.00 on the price tag marked down to $8.00!!!!! Say Whaaaa!!!!! Plus they are pretty durable. I've already dropped them like 5 times and probably ran over them with my car and they are still in one piece! Wonders never cease!

So that was a good day...Then just yesterday I went to Walmart and did my first PM!!! For all you newbies like me out there that means price match. Walmart does price matches on items that are on sale and promoted at other stores in their flyers. Well we were running errands and were in Walmart. I wanted us to stop at Canadian tire to get Arm & Hammer Cat litter which was on sale for $4.97 but then remembered "Hey dummy! You're standing in the way of that mother and her stroller trying to get by you while you stare at the cat litter! Oh and you can PM the cat litter at Walmart and save a trip down at Canadian tire!" So I did. I went to the customer service desk and showed her the marked down item in the Canadian Tire flyer on my bf's phone and she rang it through at that price! Wicked x 3! Plus she also accepted my $1.00 off coupon so with tax I paid $5.00. Which is funny because that is how much I got back from our recyclables I turned in at the bottle depot. So I pretty much got the cat litter for free! You see..drinking all that beer and wine will inevitably paid for your Cat's toilet contents. I knew there was a reason we drink! LOL!

Speaking of cat products, I also purchased a BlanketID tag for our cat. Now that she goes outside quite often I thought it would be good to get a identification tag for her blinged out collar. I don't even know how she can move around with that collar on, theres so much crap on there that the other outdoor cats make fun of her. But I digress..Anyway wagjag.com had a good deal on where you buy the blanketid.com tag (worth $24.99) and get 2 years free online services (worth about $11.99 a year-1st year is free) for only $15.00 smackers! That's good! So we snagged that puppy off the internet.....Awe...I wanna puppy :(.....Ok sorry, focused.

As well last week I started my first coupon train. This is really a great idea! On smartcanucks.com you can start a coupon train with anyone who wants to participate. So I put the word out I was starting a Nova Scotia train and I surprisingly got a lot of responses. Soon my 10 passenger list was full and I took all of my unwanted coupons, stuffed them in an envelope and mailed them to the first person on my train list. Once they receive it they take the coupons they want out of it and replace it with the same value of coupons that they took. Then they mail it on ot the next person on the list. It's a lot of fun! The person on the list just wrote me today saying that she got the "train" and will send it along to the next person tomorrow! Hopefully I should get it back around the first or second week of August, if everything works out good and have mostly all new coupons.

Well I think that is it for now. My bed is calling me and I hate ignoring it when it yells at me to get my ass in it and sleep.

Till next time fellow savers....and I promise it won't be that long.

Uh oh....I think I am starting to get some stock piles going on....

....But at least it is all stuff that I need to buy anyway. I went into town today and found some more great deals. I swear they are throwing themselves at me...don't look at me that way!....I'm helpless under their power!.....so weak....

Anyway enough of that, let me tell you what I found...and what you can find too!

* Canadian Tire: This week they have a sale on Tide Active-lift laundry detergent (38 Loads) for $4.59 (Reg. $8.99). I had a coupon from brandsaver.ca that was $5.00 off when you buy two Tide or Downey products. With tax I only paid $5.56 for two of those. It's safe to say I think I have enough laundry detergent for a while...what with the Arm & Hammer detergent I bought last week...Oy vey!

* Sobeys: Olay body wash is on sale this week at Sobeys for $3.49 (Reg. $4.99) I had another coupon from brandsaver.ca that took off $5.00 when I buy two. That came to $1.89 for both! Again...good on body wash now as I am starting to get a little stock pile in our washroom. As well at Sobeys I picked up Black Diamond Cheese slices (24) on sale for $2.99 (Reg. $5.99) Had a $0.75 off coupon from one of my recent coupon trades on smartcanucks.ca (See previous posts if you are not sure what I am referring to) so that brought it to $2.24. My boyfriend will be happy as he loves cheese slices :) For my kitty I also picked up a can of Iams cat food on for $0.75. With my brandsaver $0.50 off coupon I got it for a quarter! A quarter! That's how much that stuff should cost anyway! Throw in a sparkling peach drink at $0.88 and I only paid, with tax $6.74 for everything!

* Walmart: So right off the bat I got a 2L thing of Fanta on sale for a buck (Reg. $1.99 I think) and another Glade solid room scent that was also on for a buck (Reg. $1.99). I like saying buck...buck buck buck buck....ok I'll stop

* Pharmasave: I love Pharmasave, can I just say that. When I'm looking for foundation on sale, no where else has it except for Pharmasave. They've got Covergirl foundation on for $4.99 each (Reg. $8.99) so already it's half off. I had a $1.00 coupon from brandsaver so it came to with tax $4.74! Awesome right! They had this sale on a few weeks back and I didn't get one then, and was kicking myself for it but didn't let it slip past my fingers this week!

So what should have cost me roughly $55.83 (that's taxes in) Only ended up costing $19.46! I saved $36.37! Feeling good about that...yep...now to celebrate i'm going to go do some laundry...I should have some detergent lying around somewhere ;)
