Wow this is my first July post and it's mid July!!!!

I am very sorry about this, just been way busy around here and at work that coupons have been taking a bit of a back seat (*spitting*) I know I know that is an awful thing to say...I will never say it again. But in these last 3 or 4 years since my last post I have obtained quite a few good deals that I wish to share with you.....whether you like it or not ;)

I was shopping for sunglasses the other day and stumbled upon a pair of brand new Liz Claiborn sunglasses at the Liquidation center in Amherst. They were originally $54.00 on the price tag marked down to $8.00!!!!! Say Whaaaa!!!!! Plus they are pretty durable. I've already dropped them like 5 times and probably ran over them with my car and they are still in one piece! Wonders never cease!

So that was a good day...Then just yesterday I went to Walmart and did my first PM!!! For all you newbies like me out there that means price match. Walmart does price matches on items that are on sale and promoted at other stores in their flyers. Well we were running errands and were in Walmart. I wanted us to stop at Canadian tire to get Arm & Hammer Cat litter which was on sale for $4.97 but then remembered "Hey dummy! You're standing in the way of that mother and her stroller trying to get by you while you stare at the cat litter! Oh and you can PM the cat litter at Walmart and save a trip down at Canadian tire!" So I did. I went to the customer service desk and showed her the marked down item in the Canadian Tire flyer on my bf's phone and she rang it through at that price! Wicked x 3! Plus she also accepted my $1.00 off coupon so with tax I paid $5.00. Which is funny because that is how much I got back from our recyclables I turned in at the bottle depot. So I pretty much got the cat litter for free! You see..drinking all that beer and wine will inevitably paid for your Cat's toilet contents. I knew there was a reason we drink! LOL!

Speaking of cat products, I also purchased a BlanketID tag for our cat. Now that she goes outside quite often I thought it would be good to get a identification tag for her blinged out collar. I don't even know how she can move around with that collar on, theres so much crap on there that the other outdoor cats make fun of her. But I digress..Anyway wagjag.com had a good deal on where you buy the blanketid.com tag (worth $24.99) and get 2 years free online services (worth about $11.99 a year-1st year is free) for only $15.00 smackers! That's good! So we snagged that puppy off the internet.....Awe...I wanna puppy :(.....Ok sorry, focused.

As well last week I started my first coupon train. This is really a great idea! On smartcanucks.com you can start a coupon train with anyone who wants to participate. So I put the word out I was starting a Nova Scotia train and I surprisingly got a lot of responses. Soon my 10 passenger list was full and I took all of my unwanted coupons, stuffed them in an envelope and mailed them to the first person on my train list. Once they receive it they take the coupons they want out of it and replace it with the same value of coupons that they took. Then they mail it on ot the next person on the list. It's a lot of fun! The person on the list just wrote me today saying that she got the "train" and will send it along to the next person tomorrow! Hopefully I should get it back around the first or second week of August, if everything works out good and have mostly all new coupons.

Well I think that is it for now. My bed is calling me and I hate ignoring it when it yells at me to get my ass in it and sleep.

Till next time fellow savers....and I promise it won't be that long.

Well this was a let down.....

....Not the greatest sales in the flyer this week however I did find a few you fellow bluenosers may be interested in. Please note that I will be only talking about current sales going on in Nova Scotia that I have matched up with my coupons. I will do them in point form as it is more fun this way...

* Sobeys: Fructis is buy one, get one free (BOGO) and if you have the websaver.com Garnier Fructis coupons (Ie: Save $1.00 off Anti Dandruff Shampoo) you can get some good deals.
* Colgate Total is also BOGO at Sobeys and you can get the websaver coupon right now online for a $1.00 off Colgate Total toothpaste and use it to your advantage.
* Giant Tiger has Febreze Sprays on for $2.97 each. If you ordered the Febreze coupon at brandsaver.ca for Save $4.00 when you buy any three Febreze products, you can get 3 spray bottles for about $4.91 (before taxes) Good deal.
* Here's a really good sale even without a coupon from Canadian Tire. They have Arm & Hammer Cat litter on sale for $4.49 which is really good considering it's usually $7.49. You should be able to use their $1.00 off coupon from the Arm & Hammer website for this purchase to save even more http://armandhammer.ca/products/pet-care/cat-care/?247SEM (This one is printable but you will need to download their printer settings to your computer)
* Finally this one is good for anyone who is curious to try the L'Oreal Youthcode Skin product but doesn't want to pay full value. At Zellers right now it is on sale for $19.99 (which is reg. $24.99 there) If you have the websaver coupon for this product which is save $3.00 off you can get it for $16.99 before tax. Now I have a coupon but won't really be buying this product but if anyone would like to have it they can just comment on my blog that they can email me at allywooo@hotmail.com and the first one who writes in I will mail it to them.

Well that's the highlight of what I found today with sales and coupon matching. However, I am going to re-look again tomorrow and let you know if I made any new discoveries. Tune in tomorrow b'ys!

Ok, I know this sounds bizzare but......

...Is anyone else excited for the flyers coming out tomorrow?!!!....I mean I guess if they come that's cool...whatever....................OK I'm a Dork! I AM EXCITED FOR THE FLYERS! :)

I can't wait to pair up my coupons with any great sales that are lying in wait between those golden (ok slightly off white) papers!

I am also looking forward to receiving my first trade coupons in the mail. For those of you who don't know what I mean, allow me to sit down, put my feet up and explain.....If you go on my new favorite site, www.smartcanucks.ca you can start to trade coupons with other fellow couponers. Just go to the website, click on the Coupons Tab and then at the bottom of the drop menu it says Coupon Trading. Click on there and your coupon world will explode in joy! You will find lists upon lists of coupons from smartcanuck users who are willing to trade those coupons in exhange for coupons on their wish list (located at the bottom of the individual's list). *Please note you will need to set up a free account before you join but it is well worth it and it doesn't take long. Currently I am awaiting coupons on Arm & Hammer cat litter (exciting, I know) fishing equipment, Glade Fabric spray and Ocean spray juices just to name a few.

As soon as I have perused the flyers I will update my findings on here in case any of you have similar coupons you can use. OK, time to go to bed and count coupons to try to sleep.........kidding.....just kidding.

Let's Start the Savings

Ok for my first trick...oops wrong job!

Alright the first saving I will share with you all is (oh this is really exciting! I'm getting neeervvvouuusss) Haha ok anyway I like point form so just look below and you'll find my first savings post.

*If you are heading to your local Atlantic Superstore this flyer week period you will see that they have a sale going on for their Dove Body lotion and bar soaps at $2.99 each. They have an instore coupon for $2.00 off two different Dove products. When you purchase both it should only cost you $4.00 (before tax). They had the same sale on last week at Shoppers with their body lotiona and exfolioants and it only cost me $4.00 (before tax) for both! They usually are like $4 or $5 EACH regular price so this is a good deal!

*Giant Tiger is having a sale on two of my favorite things but should never be combined..Janes Breaded Chicken Strips and Nuggets ($4.48 each! Reg. $8.97) and Arm & Hammer Cat Litter ($3.74 Reg. $7.48) PLUS!!!! I found a coupon for both that you could probably use (Please note I have not tested this yet) For the Janes Products go to http://www.surgele.ca/Concours/Produits-Participants/Zone-Coupons.aspx. This website is called Surgele.ca and it's a great coupon site in Quebec. It is for $2.00 off any Janes chicken product. You will need to set up an account with them to print off the coupon but it's free, however it is in french but to login is fairly easy. Now my french isn't great but once I printed the coupon off I read the bottom of it and it didn't say you couldn't use it outside of Quebec so that's good! So with this coupon you should be able to get the Cat litter for $2.48 plus tax!

For the Arm & Hammer Cat litter, if you go to http://www.armandhammer.com/ and you join up free on their website you can print off a $1.00 coupon on their double duty litter (located at the bottom of the main page called Coupons) When you go to print off the coupon, it will ask you download their printer on to your computer. If you are not comfortable doing this www.save.ca also has the same coupon but you will only get it in the mail and won't be able to use it with this weeks saving.

Now please bear in mind that I have not gone to purchase these items yet but planned to soon (if they still have some Oh Please Oh Please Oh Please!!!!)

*Also my last one for the day is a buy one get one free at New York Fries. Heres the coupon. Expires May 31st, 2011 http://coupons.smartcanucks.ca/get/canadian-coupons-canada/new-york-fries-3763/

Wow, Ok so I've done my first post...not bad but don't worry if none of these sales work for you then you may see something you like on my next post.

Happy Savings!
