In other coupon/saving news this week I went shopping in Truro and found some great deals. See the breakdown below...
* Lawtons-BOGO Mr. Clean Erasers- $4.00
* Walmart-Janes Chicken Fingers -$5.97 (Reg. $10-12) With coupon took it down to $4.47!
* Walmart-Royale 32 roll toilet paper-$6.98 (Reg. $10-$12...probably) With coupon took it down to $5.98!
* Sobeys-Iam Wet Cat Food -$0.75 minus $0.50 off coupon-A Quarter!
* Sobeys-Michelina's Flat Break Microwavable dinners-BOGO Total $3.00
* Sobeys-Ocean Spray Cocktail Juice-BOGO Total $3.00
* Zellers-Package of 6 Royale Facial Tissue - Reg.-OVERPRICED (Probably $7 or $8..but OVERPRICED!) On for $3.99 less $1.00 off coupon brought it to $3.00! *Side note, this particular package of Royale tissue wasn't scanning through the sale price because it was the 100 sheet box, not the 130 sheet box (insert MAJOR EYE ROLL HERE) Anyway they rang it through the sale price for me. 1 point for Zellers...but only 1 as I think some of their stuff is OVERPRICED!
So that was my shopping trip summed up in a neat little asterisks point list...can you tell I like using them?
And finally I did a very bold or dumb thing, depending on how you look at it, in the coupon trading world....Remember last week I told you guys that I had started my own coupon train...Which is going very well, thank you for asking..really sweet...but yes going well! Anyway I decided I wanted to join someone else's train at the same time just cause I had never been on a coupon train as a passenger. Well can we say "I'm over my head and I don't have a parachute"...I think I just merged two sayings on that one, but any who I will explain. You see this train was set up so that all the passengers send their coupon wish list (coupons they wished they had) to the conductor of the train and she posts them. Then you had to pick 3 coupons from each person's wish list and send it to the conductor and she will send it out to the passengers. I had literally felt like I had nothing that anyone wanted. I scrounged through what little coupons I had left from the ones I sent out on my train and found some that I could give to the other passengers. Although there is a good rule for this train which is that if you didn't have a coupon on someones list then you can use stamp as a substitute which is what I had to do....like 8 times...Plus I sent it express mail so that it would get there by the deadline! So that's not really saving money, ironically. I really felt like a newb! Lesson learned..don't be such an eager beaver Alice! Wait till your own train comes back before hopping tracks and loosing your luggage!....Kind of trailed off but you get my point.
Well when I start talking nonsense it's time for me to go count coupons and drift off to sales...er slumber land....zzzzzzzz...cat litter...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......$4.00!....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
